June 30th is one of the most important dates on the points and miles calendar. A long list of premium credit card benefits operate on a semiannual cycle, meaning if you haven’t used your first-half credits yet, they expire and you lose them permanently. No rollovers. No extensions.

Here’s some of the major benefits from some of the top consumer cards you need to act on before the month ends.

Note: This is not an exhaustive list, and does not include all cards with credits that may expire. Monthly credits are not included.

American Express Platinum Card®

$895 Annual Fee. See rates & fees

$300 Hotel Credit

The Platinum’s hotel credit is one of the most valuable semiannual benefits in the premium card space. Cardholders receive up to $300 back on prepaid hotel bookings through Amex Travel at Fine Hotels + Resorts (one-night minimum) or The Hotel Collection (two-night minimum), twice per year, for up to $600 annually.

The first half of the credit, covering January through June, expires June 30. The good news: you don’t have to complete your stay by June 30. You just have to book by then.

So you can use this credit now to lock in a stay for later this summer, fall, or even 2027 as long as it’s prepaid. No enrollment required.

$50 Saks Fifth Avenue Credit

This one’s a permanent farewell. AMEX has confirmed that the Saks Fifth Avenue credit is ending for good on July 1, 2026, following Saks bankruptcy filing earlier this year. Cardholders have until June 30 to use their final $50 first half credit. After that, the benefit, which had been worth up to $100 annually, is gone entirely.

$100 Resy Dining Credit

The Platinum’s Resy credit runs on a quarterly basis. The Q2 $100 credit expires June 30.

If you haven’t dined at a U.S. Resy-affiliated restaurant yet this half, now’s the time. Enrollment required.

American Express® Gold Card

$50 Resy Credit

The Amex Gold’s $100 annual Resy credit is split into two $50 installments: January through June, and July through December. The first-half credit expires June 30. Enrollment required.

Chase Sapphire Reserve®

Chase Sapphire Reserve®

$795 Annual Fee

$150 StubHub Credit

The Reserve’s $300 annual StubHub/Viagogo credit splits into two $150 windows: January through June and July through December. The first half credit expires June 30 with no rollover. Activation is required. The important thing to know: your event doesn’t have to happen before June 30. You just need to make the purchase. Buy tickets now for a concert, game, or show later in the summer and the credit applies to the transaction date.

$150 Dining Credit

The Reserve’s $300 annual dining credit at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants (via OpenTable) also is split semi-annually, with the first $150 expiring June 30.

Bilt Palladium Card

$495 Annual Fee

$200 Hotel Credit

The Bilt Palladium’s $400 annual Bilt Travel hotel credit is distributed as two $200 semiannual credits. The first-half credit, covering January through June, expires June 30. Bookings must be for a minimum two-night stay through the Bilt Travel Portal. This is a use-it-or-lose-it benefit with no rollover. If you have a Palladium and haven’t booked yet, get something on the calendar before month-end.

Citi Strata Elite℠

$595 Annual Fee

$100 Blacklane Credit

The Citi Strata Elite’s $200 annual Blacklane credit comes in two $100 windows: January through June and July through December. The first half credit resets July 1. Blacklane is a premium global chauffeur service, think airport transfers and point-to-point rides, available in cities worldwide.

If you’ve got any upcoming travel with an airport transfer in the mix, this is a clean way to use it.

Don’t Forget to Stack a Shopping Portal Offer

One of the best ways to use some of these credits, is to activate the credit if necessary, and then sign-up and click through a shopping portal like Rakuten or Rove and then checkout with your credit card.

Not only will you be able to redeem your credit since you’re checking out on the merchants website, but you’ll also get bonus points or cash back on top.

Plus if you’re new to one of the platforms, you can sign up through my referral links below to get an additional bonus.

RoveMiles: Get an instant 1,500 RoveMiles just by signing up with a phone-number. RoveMiles transfer directly to partners like Turkish Airlines, Flying Blue, Qatar Airways, and more.

Rakuten: Get $50 cash back (or 5,000 points) after spending $50 when signing up. Instead of earning cash back, you can elect to earn American Express Membership Rewards Points at a 1% cash back = 1x point rate if you have a Membership Rewards Point earning card (like the AMEX Gold or AMEX Platinum) or if you’re a Bilt Member, you can earn Bilt points instead at a 1% cash back = 1x point rate as long as you hold Bilt elite status.

Pat’s Final Take

Put simply, there really is no reason not to look into using these credits before they expire.

For all of the travel related ones as well as the StubHub Credit, you’re able to book for something much further out than by June 30th.
